‘Maria’ & ‘Heretic’ To Have AFI Fest Red Carpet Galas
The Angelina Jolie Netflix movie 'Maria' and A24's Hugh Grant horror movie 'Heretic' are set to have AFI Fest Red Carpet Gala Screenings.
The gala screening for Heretic directed by A Quiet Place scribes Scott Beck and Bryan Woods, which stars Hugh Grant, will be on Thursday, Oct. 24, while the Pablo Larraín directed, Angelina Jolie starring Maria will hold its gala screening on Saturday, Oct. 26. Heretic follows two young missionaries (Sophie Thatcher and Chloe East) who are forced to prove their faith when they knock on the wrong door and are greeted by a diabolical Mr. Reed (Grant), becoming ensnared in his deadly game of cat-and-mouse. The movies join the world premieres at AFI Fest of Music by John Williams, Robert Zemeckis’ Here, Wallace & Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl and Clint Eastwood’s Juror No.
