It could be a while if we ever see another season of Mare of Easttown, assuming creator Brad Ingelsby finds the right kind of story to bring back Kate Winslet’s beloved character. While promoting his upcoming show Task that takes place in the same Pennsylvania county that Mare was based, Ingelsby seemed to suggest that he couldn’t promise more of the crime drama miniseries that hit it big in 2021. I would welcome the chance if we could craft the story,” Ingelsby told reporters as an HBO press conference Tuesday in Los Angeles.
