Brandon Routh was set to voice Gideon Jura in the series, which tells the stories of the Planeswalkers, Magic’s unique magic-wielding heroes and villains. Matalas was recently showrunner of Star Trek: Picard for the third and fourth seasons of the Paramount+ series. He was also showrunner of the fourth season of CBS’ MacGyver but is best known for co-creating and showrunning Syfy’s adaptation of 12 Monkeys.
