‘Lord, Give Me Patience’ Director Álvaro Díaz Lorenzo’s Nostalgic ’60s Comedy ‘Vírgenes’ Gets First Trailer (EXCLUSIVE)

Álvaro Díaz Lorenzo's nostalgic '60s comedy 'Vírgenes' explores Spain's tourism boom through humor and cultural contrasts.

The story follows three young men – Honorio, Rafa and Vicente – who set out from Sevilla to Torremolinos in search of adventure, freedom and their first romantic encounters with Swedish tourists. “Always fascinated by the impact of tourism in Málaga and the stories my parents, uncles and grandparents told about those years, I wanted to narrate that cultural revolution through the eyes of youth discovering a whole new world for the first time, ” says director Álvaro Díaz Lorenzo. Federico Pascua of FilmSharks praised the project: “ One of Spain’s most successful box office directors shows his relevance in the market with his latest trailer.”
