‘Life Below Zero’ Alum Jessie Holmes Wins Iditarod Race In His Eighth Try
Jessie Holmes, who appeared on the Nat Geo series Life Below Zero, won the famed Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race on March 14, 2025 in Alaska.

The race began March 3 in Fairbanks, and Holmes crossed the finish line today in Nome with a time of 10 days, 14 hours, 55 minutes and 41 seconds. In 2024, it won for Outstanding Cinematography for a Reality Program, giving DPs Michael Cheeseman and Danny Day their seventh wins for the show.
