‘Lawmen: Bass Reeves’ Star David Oyelowo on the Character’s Branding: It Represents the ‘Juxtaposition of the Beauty and the Violence’
"Lawmen: Bass Reeves" artisans discuss why showing the branding was important to the series.
David Oyelowo plays the title character in “ Lawmen: Bass Reeves,” the true story of a man who escaped enslavement and went on to become one of the first U.S. Deputy Marshals.
