‘Lanterns’: Poorna Jagannathan Joins DC Series For HBO
Poorna Jagannathan (Deli Boys) has been tapped for a heavily recurring role in 'Lanterns', HBO’s drama series based on the Green Lantern DC comic.
She joins series regulars Kyle Chandler, Aaron Pierre and Kelly MacDonald as well as fellow recurring Garret Dillahunt. The series, from Chris Mundy, Damon Lindelof and Tom King, follows new recruit John Stewart (Pierre) and Lantern legend Hal Jordan (Chandler), two intergalactic cops drawn into a dark, Earth-based mystery as they investigate a murder in the American heartland. Jagannathan, known for her role in the Netflix comedy series Never Have I Ever, also was part of the main cast of the Apple movie Wolfs.
