‘Lanterns’: HBO’s DC Studios Series Casts Ulrich Thomsen as Sinestro
The upcoming HBO series "Lanterns" has cast a major DC villain.
He will appear alongside previously announced leads Kyle Chandler and Aaron Pierre in the series, as well as cast members Kelly Macdonald, Garret Dillahunt, and Poorna Jagannathan. Per the official logline, the show follows “new recruit John Stewart (Aaron Pierre) and Lantern legend Hal Jordan (Kyle Chandler), two intergalactic cops drawn into a dark, earth-based mystery as they investigate a murder in the American heartland.” He was previously portrayed by Mark Strong in the 2011 “Green Lantern” film and has been voiced by numerous actors in various animated projects over the years.
