‘Lanterns’: HBO’s DC Series Casts Jason Ritter


The upcoming DC Studios series "Lanterns" has cast Jason Ritter in a recurring role.

Ritter joins a cast that also includes Aaron Pierre, Kyle Chandler, Kelly Macdonald, Garret Dillahunt, Poorna Jagannathan, and Ulrich Thomsen. Per the official logline, the show follows “new recruit John Stewart (Aaron Pierre) and Lantern legend Hal Jordan (Kyle Chandler), two intergalactic cops drawn into a dark, earth-based mystery as they investigate a murder in the American heartland.” He is known for his roles in shows like “Joan of Arcadia,” “Kevin (Probably) Saves the World,” “Parenthood,” and “Raising Dion.” He earned an Emmy nomination for his role in “Parenthood” and was also nominated for the short form series “Tales of Titans.” Ritter has also starred in films such as “Frozen II,” “The Tale,” and “The Meddler.”
