‘Kalki 2898 AD’ Scores Third Place Debut at U.K., Ireland Box Office as ‘Inside Out 2,’ ‘A Quiet Place: Day One’ Lead


Echoing its worldwide box office standing, Indian sci-fi epic 'Kalki 2898 AD' debuted in third place at the U.K. and Ireland box office.

The upcoming weekend sees the release of Universal’s “MaXXXine” set in 1980s Hollywood, where adult film star and aspiring actress Maxine Minx finally gets her big break. Signature Entertainment is bowing Toronto festival hit “Unicorns” that follows a queer South Asian club performer living a double life who meets a straight, single-father mechanic, with whom unexpected sparks begin to fly. From Bollywood, Lionsgate is opening action film “Kill,” while Bakrania Media is releasing romance “Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha,” starring Ajay Devgn and Tabu.
