‘Joker’ Poster & ‘The Crown’ Script Latest To Join Cinema For Gaza Auction As Fundraiser Tops $200,000 Donations
Cinema For Gaza has put up a 'Joker' poster & 'The Crown' script for auction, and has now raised $200,000 after launching last week.
The campaign was launched last week by UK film professionals Hanna Flint, Julia Jackman, Leila Latif, Sophie Monks Kaufman and Helen Simmons, and has immediately taken off with the works from the lieks of Jonathan Glazer, Spike Lee and Tessa Thompson. The organizers said: “The small team of volunteers is incredibly moved and inspired by the generosity of both donors and bidders. Hannah Farr, Hanna Flint, Julia Jackman, Leila Latif, Sophie Monks Kaufman and Helen Simmons are proud to have facilitated the very best of our industry contributing vital aid via Medical Aid For Palestinians – the only NGO currently operating in the north of Gaza.”
