'Joker 2' director Todd Phillips explains why he cut a scene of Lady Gaga's Lee kissing another woman outside of the courthouse.
One axed moment was improvised during filming and depicted Gaga’s Lee kissing another woman while entering the courthouse to attend Arthur Fleck’s murder trial. “Joker: Folie à Deux” director Todd Phillips told Entertainment Weekly that he had to cut the scene of Lee kissing a woman outside of the courthouse because it distracted from the musicality of the sequence. Gaga fans shared set videos from “ Joker 2 ” on social media during the film’s opening weekend to show scenes featuring the Grammy and Oscar winner that did not make it into the final cut.
