‘Jackpot!’ Trailer: Awkwafina and John Cena Protect Multi-Billion Dollar Lottery Prize in Action-Comedy
Amazon MGM Studios has released the trailer for "Jackpot!," starring Awkwafina, John Cena and Simu Liu. The film releases on Prime Video Aug. 15.
L.A. transplant and aspiring actor Katie (Awkwafina) gets a winning ticket, but the lottery has a catch: other people can kill her before sundown to legally claim the multi-billion dollar jackpot. The trailer sees Katie and Noel escaping from those trying to hunt down her prize, set to the tune of Bonnie Tyler’s 1984 anthem “Holding Out for a Hero.” The pair fend off the masses – driving through walls, avoiding meat cleavers and fighting Louis Lewis. “Bridesmaids” and “A Simple Favor” helmer Paul Feig directs, while Ayden Mayeri, Machine Gun Kelly, Donald Elise Watkins, Sam Asghari and Murray Hill round out the cast.
