‘Invincible’ Creator Robert Kirkman Says Mark’s New Blue Suit in Season 3 Is His ‘Darkest and Most Intense’ Era

At Variety's Comic-Con studio, Robert Kirkman teased 'Invincible' Season 3 and Mark's new blue suit.

The series recently wrapped its second season in April, where viewers followed high school senior and titular superhero Mark Grayson (Steven Yeun) and his human mother Debbie (Sandra Oh) dealing with the devastating realization that Mark’s father, Nolan (J.K. Simmons) — aka the terrifyingly powerful Omni-Man — is part of an alien race hellbent on galactic domination. I’m very hopeful that this show can be around for awhile,” Kirkman said at the Variety Studio, presented by Google TV at the 2024 San Diego Comic-Con. Comic book fans will appreciate that Season 3 will introduce Mark’s new black-and-blue suit, which is both a major color and tone shift for the character, according to Kirkman.
