'I've worn this £75 M&S linen co-ord to work and on holiday – it's been a hit every time'

The two-piece co-ord is a huge trend this summer and there are a huge number on the high street at the moment. I've tried quite a few – and this one from Marks and Spencer is the best I've found

Both made from a linen/viscose blend fabric, the waistcoat is smart and slightly cropped; I don't usually like tops that are cropped but I found that this ends at the perfect length when worn with high-waisted trousers, creating a flattering silhouette. The M&S linen waistcoat (left) and trousers (right) (Image: M&S) I also love the matching linen wide-leg trousers I bought; they strike the perfect 'smart/casual' balance, and I like that they come in three different lengths: short, regular and long (at 5'8", I went for long, which are full-length on me). The one downside that I found to these trousers was that the hem on one of the legs came down after a few wears, but nothing a quick running stitch couldn't solve.
