If you’re looking for a holiday that involves lots of relaxing at the poolside with a good book and a cocktail in hand, Tivoli’s recently refurbished La Caleta Tenerife Resort is the perfect place to do exactly that. We were lucky enough to spot some of Tenerife’s native pilot whales and lively dolphins, which swam up extremely close to the boats as we sailed around a protected area of the coast uninterrupted by shipping vessels. This tour drives you through some of the park’s most spectacular scenery – where a number of Hollywood movies have been filmed over the years – with stops at various lookout points where you can get the best view of the volcano, its surroundings and the local wildlife.
