‘I’m Still Here’ Wins Oscar for Best International Feature Film
'I'm Still Here,' Walter Salles' drama film starring Fernanda Torres, has won Best International Feature Film at the Oscars
“I’m Still Here,” Walter Salles’ searing drama about the life of Brazillian lawyer and activist Eunice Paiva, has triumphed at the 97th annual Academy Awards to win Best International Feature Film. “I’m Still Here,” — which also received a nomination for Best Picture as well as Best Actress for leading star Fernanda Torres — was the closest competition “Emilia Pérez” had for the trophy for much of the season. Torres herself did not have a controversy-free Oscars season: also in late January, she apologized for a resurfaced clip of her performing Blackface in a Brazilian sketch comedy series from 2008.
