'I'm a travel writer and this is what to wear on an autumn walking holiday – including £17 slimming top'
OK!'s travel editor Laura shared her tips on what to wear when going on a walking holiday in autumn – including some great high street finds
I wouldn't ever call myself a practical dresser, but as a travel writer who's been on holiday to the Lake District for many years in a row now – trips that involve all types of weather and lots of walking – I think I've nailed what to wear when visiting in autumn, including some great high street finds. I recently spent a weekend hiking the scenery around Cumbria's Grasmere and Lake Windermere, where we experienced every weather possible: bright sunshine, heavy downpours and flooded pathways. They may not be the most stylish item of footwear I own but I've got so much wear out of these Salomon Exvantage Mid Waterproof boots, now reduced to £120; supportive, comfy and without needing to be broken in, for me they're worth the money.
