'I worked on Gogglebox and here's what it's really like - from drunk stars to 'script' claims'
A former Gogglebox employee has spilled behind-the-scenes secrets from the show; including whether it's scripted, drunken antics that didn't make the show and the cast's payment
Back in 2014, following the first two series' of Gogglebox, which returns this evening, someone claiming to be an employee took to Reddit to spill some behind-the-scene secrets, answering questions about the show from other users. Assuring that there was payment to all participants, the employee did confirm that ordering food is on the cards, saying: "Haha, I think all families are paid. A former employee has revealed that the cast get free takeaways if they'd like (Image: CHANNEL 4)"What was the best thing that was said that could never make it to television?"
