'I was one of those children' - Kate Silverton demands justice for victims in Huw Edwards case

Former BBC News At Ten presenter Kate Silverton has called for her one-time colleague Huw Edwards to be given a suitable sentence for his child abuse image charges

Kate, who parted ways with the BBC in 2021, felt compelled to finally break her silence and advocate on behalf of the child victims. Davie also justified the decision to keep Edwards on until his resignation in April due to medical advice, stating: "The police came to us and said, 'Look, we need to do our work in total confidence, we've arrested, please keep this confidential'." He emphasized that the situation was handled with careful consideration: "And at that point, I think the principle is clear in my mind, and I say we thought long and hard about this, this wasn't a knee-jerk decision."
