'I was left rotting in a hotel room after my botched Turkey surgery nightmare - I wanted to die'
Sara Platt, 33, from South Wales, lost an incredible 12 stone and was left with a mass of excess skin, which she decided to have removed at a clinic in Turkey: a decision she will regret forever
The ordeal didn't stop there; nine days post-operation, while still feeling extremely unwell, Sara witnessed more horror when her husband helped her change bandages, only to find brown liquid oozing from her wounds. Contrary to the Turkish cosmetic agency's claims that the operation was successful and that Sara simply didn't rest enough afterwards, a hospital document signed by the doctor revealed that the surgery "did not go to plan". On the August 14, Sara braved her 10th corrective op to remove the problematic graft, and lucky for her, Prof Whitaker worked his magic to bridge the gap and bind the skin, aiming to dampen her pain and gift her more flexibility.
