'I was eating ultra-processed foods and developed a horror health condition'
EXCLUSIVE: Adult acne can be a nightmare to deal with - and it can have a huge impact on self-esteem. Here, Roxy Marrone shares her story and how it led her to create her own brand
She explains her resistance to conventional medical advice: "Doctors suggested birth control, spironolactone or Accutane, but I knew they would only suppress the issue, not heal it – and I wanted to get to the root cause." She further shared, "I also changed my lifestyle, reframed negative thoughts (affirmations helped massively), surrounded myself with a great support system and built my own healing toolbox that led me there – Eyeam." "Acne is affecting a broader demographic range from varied ethnic backgrounds, and individuals from different walks of life are seeking a common goal of having clearer skin," adds Dr Karishma Hemmady, consultant dermatologist at Stratum Clinics.
