'I saved unborn twins with pioneering laser surgery while they were still in my womb'

EXCLUSIVE: Sarah Lang, 38, from Fleet in Hampshire, was diagnosed with Twin to Twin Transfusion Syndrome and underwent groundbreaking laser surgery in the womb to save her twin boys

Life threw another surprise at Sarah, a single mum from Fleet in Hampshire, when she found out she was expecting identical twins, especially as she already had a 14 year old son, Alfie, and had just gone through the heartache of a miscarriage. Despite the grim statistics indicating a high risk of mortality for twins diagnosed with advanced TTTS early in pregnancy, Sarah's story has a happy ending. In a sweet twist of timing, Sarah shared how the birth became an unintended gift: "Their brother Alfie turned 13 the day after they were born, so that was a lovely birthday present for him."
