‘I Know What You Did Last Summer’ Reboot Director On New Film Ignoring Sequel: “Definitely Not”
Jennifer Kaytin Robinson, the director taking on the I Know What You Did Last Summer reboot, clarifies rumors that the new film would ignore the saga's sequel I Still Know What You Did Last Summer.
I Know What You Did Last Summer was released in 1997 and starred Jennifer Love Hewitt, Freddie Prinze Jr, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Ryan Phillippe, Johnny Galecki, and Bridgette Wilson. Sources recently told Deadline that Sony Pictures is in talks with Hewitt and Prinze Jr. to reprise their roles in the new reboot, which is expected to open on July 18, 2025. The new reboot has cast Camila Mendes, Madelyn Cline, Sarah Pidgeon, Tyriq Withers, and Jonah Hauer-King in the leading roles.
