Speaking to friends and family back home, it was more a story of how happy they were for me whereas a year ago, it was all doom and gloom. Within 12 months I was selected for the elite squad and the goal moving forward was to hit the Paralympics, which I was fortunate to do in Tokyo. With more than £30M a week raised for Good Causes, The National Lottery has enabled Great Britain to become a global force and has provided more opportunities for people inspired by athletes like Stuart, Jack and Rob to take part in sport.
