Picture Tree Intl. has boarded world sales for two major German titles – “Hot Girl Summer” and “Almost Brothers.”
Martina Pluras’ “Hot Girl Summer” is a Gen Z-infused reboot of the early 2000s franchise, which originally gained pop cultural icon status in Germany. The updated version brings contemporary female empowerment to the forefront while honoring the spirit of the original, positioning it as a commercial summer break out release. Hanno Olderdissen’s “Almost Brothers,” starring Christoph Maria Herbst (“Weddings and Wokes”), is a sharp, heartfelt comedy about two estranged half-brothers forced to live together and figure out what family really means.
