‘Holes’ Gender-Swapped Reboot Gets Disney+ Pilot Order
Disney+ had handed out a pilot order to a TV series based on Louis Sachar's 1998 novel Holes and its 2003 Disney movie adaptation.
Disney+ had handed out a pilot order to a potential series that reimagines the story with a female lead, Deadline has confirmed. Written by Alina Mankin with Liz Phang as showrunner, Holes the series centers on a teenage girl who is sent to a detention camp where the ruthless Warden forces the campers to dig holes for a mysterious purpose. Sigourney Weaver, Jon Voight, Patricia Arquette, Tim Blake Nelson and Eartha Kitt also starred.
