‘Harry Potter’ HBO Series Casts Bel Powley, Daniel Rigby as Petunia and Vernon Dursley (EXCLUSIVE)
The "Harry Potter" TV series at HBO has found its Petunia and Vernon Dursley.
Variety has learned exclusively that Bel Powley and Daniel Rigby will star as the elder Dursleys in the upcoming small screen adaptation of the J.K. Rowling book series. Other cast members include: John Lithgow as Albus Dumbledore, Janet McTeer as Minerva McGonagall, Paapa Essiedu as Severus Snape, Nick Frost as Rubeus Hagrid, Luke Thallon as Quirinus Quirrell, and Paul Whitehouse as Argus Filch. Rigby most recently starred in shows such as “I, Jack Wright,” “Renegade Nell,” and “Tom Jones.” He is also set to appear in Amazon’s upcoming sci-fi series “Blade Runner 2099,” which continues the story of the film franchise.
