Original Harry Potter helmer Chris Columbus is praising HBO ‘s forthcoming television reboot, calling it a “spectacular idea” that will allow for the exploration of previously uncharted Hogwarts hallways. Much ado has been made about the ambitious revival, which HBO & Max Content chairman and CEO Casey Bloys vowed would be a “faithful adaptation” based on author J.K. Rowling ‘s beloved children’s book series and span “10 consecutive years,” defying previous early reports that the serialized adaptation would follow a book-a-season format.
