‘Hamilton’ Cancels Kennedy Center Tour Stop After Trump Administration Takeover

'Hamilton' was scheduled to perform at the Kennedy Center in 2026, but have since canceled due to Donald Trump's recent takeover of the institution.

“Political disagreement and debate are vital expressions of democracy,” lead producer Jeffrey Seller said in a statement, shared to the official Hamilton X page. However, Seller noted that, “Given the recent actions, our show simply cannot, in good conscience, participate and be a part of this new culture that is being imposed on the Kennedy Center.” “I have decided to immediately terminate multiple individuals from the Board of Trustees, including the Chairman, who do not share our Vision for a Golden Age in Arts and Culture.”
