After securing another Golden Globe for Hacks, the creators teased what's in store for Season 4 and discussed some pressing issues in Hollywood
Following the HBO comedy’s Golden Globe win Sunday night, creator Jen Statsky teased that they are now at a point in their relationship “they’ve never been before” after Ava (Hannah Einbinder) blackmailed Deborah (Jean Smart) into giving her the head writer position on her late night gig in the Season 3 finale. Backstage after the win, creator Paul Downs also touched on ageism in Hollywood after a reporter pointed out the fact that this series, which is led by an older woman, continues to receive critical and commercial acclaim. It’s not just like young people who are friends in their 30s…I hope that networks take risks on stories that are original and characters, whether it’s about their age or about something else, that isn’t the typical thing we see.”
