‘Hacks’, ‘Fellow Travelers’, Ava DuVernay’s ‘Origin’ Among 2024 Humanitas Prize Recipients


Humanitas Prizes honor television and film writers whose work "explores the human condition in a nuanced way."

This year’s honors were announced and presented at the organization’s annual awards ceremony last night at the Avalon Hollywood. The event was emceed by June Diane Raphael ( Grace and Frankie, Abbott Elementary) and Paul Scheer ( The League, Veep). Children’s Teleplay: Marvel’s Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur(“Ride or Die”), Halima Lucas Comedy Feature Film: Jules, Gavin Steckler Comedy Teleplay: Hacks(“Yes, And”), Samantha Riley, Lucia Aniello, Jen Statsky, and Paul W.
