‘Grey’s Anatomy’ To Cast New Gay Male Character Amid Jake Borelli’s Exit

Grey's Anatomy will be adding a new, male gay character to replace the exiting Jake Borelli, we hear.

ABC ‘s long-running medical drama series will be adding a new, male gay character amid the exit of Jake Borelli, Deadline’s sister pub TVLine reports. We learned in May that Borelli, who plays gay doctor Levi Schmitt, will be exiting the series next season after wrapping up his storyline. Meanwhile, as we recently reported Ellen Pompeo, whose Meredith Grey received a big sendoff in the 2023 midseason premiere, will be appearing in at least seven of Season 21’s 18 episodes, sources told Deadline, a number that is likely to grow.
