“There’s going to be a road show for it,” Clooney told Meyers, “and I think it might end up in London, but it won’t be the same thing as what we’re doing now.” No more hints were given (see the interview below). Good Night, And Good Luck, written by Clooney and Grant Heslov based on their 2005 film of the same name, began previews at Broadway’s Winter Garden Theatre on March 12, opened April 3 and closes with the June 8 matinee ahead of that night’s Tony Awards. On Late Night, the actor expressed a strong desire to lose the jet-black hair dye needed for the role.
