The TV presenter, who is married to Amber Laign, has won audiences over with her authentic personality and sharing vulnerable parts of herself, including her breast cancer battle with the world. David was the first ever host of GMA from 1975 to 1987, becoming famous for his phrase “Make it a good day today.” His career actually began as an actor before transitioning into the live TV world. “I went from a period of seven months where I had a miscarriage, [and] I had a concussion — someone threw something at my head when I was doing a live shot and that knocked me out of work for three weeks,” she said of her departure from both shows during a November 2018 interview with Good Housekeeping.
