‘Frozen’ Hit ‘Let It Go’ Reaches RIAA Diamond Status
The RIAA announced that the hit song from Disney’s Frozen, “Let It Go,” is certified diamond
The Recording Industry Association of America ( RIAA) announced on Wednesday (Aug. 14) that the hit song from Disney ’s Frozen, “Let It Go,” is certified diamond, signifying 10 million sales. The song, which was performed by Idina Menzel’s character Elsa, was written by Kristen Anderson-Lopez and double EGOT member Bobby Lopez. But for “Let It Go,” we looked elsewhere – to powerful female singer-songwriters like Tori Amos, Aimee Mann, Sara Bareilles, Adele.
