‘French Dispatch’s’ Lyna Khoudri, ‘Deerskin’s’ Rio Vega Lead French Voice Cast of ‘In Waves’ From Silex, Anonymous Content, Charades (EXCLUSIVE)
‘Animal Kingdom’s’ Paul Kircher, Comedie Française’s Birane Ba also join French voice cast of ‘In Waves,’ at Cannes’ Animation Day.
“This new generation of talented French actors were chosen by the director Phuong Mai Nguyen for their voice which allows to convey in the fairest way the sincerity of the story and the characters,” said Priscilla Bertin, who produces for Silex with partner Judith Nora. “Its themes of first love, loss, and memory will speak to worldwide audiences across age ranges and demographics and is a needed anecdote to help inject positive emotion back into our everyday,” said Anonymous Content’s Nick Shumaker, when Variety announced that the company had boarded “In Waves.” It is written by Fanny Burdino and Samuel Doux, screenwriters of movies by Joachim Lafosse (“After Love”) and Laurent Cantet (“Arthur Rambo”) and Warner Bros. Discovery’s soon-to-release first French original miniseries, “The Mythomaniac Of The Bataclan,” directed by Just Philippot.
