‘Forever’ Teaser: Netflix Reimagines Judy Blume Novel About Losing Virginity With Black Cast


Netflix released a teaser for 'Forever,' its upcoming series inspired by Judy Blume's 1975 novel 'Forever.'

Also starring are Karen Pittman, Wood Harris, Xosha Roquemore, Marvis Winans III, Niles Fitch, Barry Shabaka Henley, Ali Gallo, Adriyan Rae, Paigion Walker, Xavier Mills and E’myri Crutchfield. “Forever” was created by Mara Brock Akil, who is best known as the creator of the Tracee Ellis Ross-led sitcom “Girlfriends,” which ran on UPN and later the CW for eight seasons from 2000 to 2008. The teaser was first unveiled at the 2025 Next on Netflix event by chief content officer Bela Bajaria, who called the show “a fresh take” on a book that “some of us may have hidden under our beds growing up.”
