‘Final Destination: Bloodlines’ Claims Top Spot at U.K. and Ireland Box Office as Tom Cruise’s ‘Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning’ Looms
Warner Bros. claimed No. 1 at the U.K. and Ireland box office with 'Final Destination: Bloodlines,' which opened to a powerful $5.3 million.
Also returning to screens is Sony Pictures’ re-release of the genre-defining British horror film “28 Days Later,” giving audiences a chance to revisit Danny Boyle’s haunting vision of societal collapse. Universal Pictures rolls out Wes Anderson’s latest, “The Phoenician Scheme,” while Day For Night releases Cannes title “Mongrel,” a drama from co-directors Chiang Wei Liang and You Qiao Yin. Also opening is “Burden of Dreams,” the landmark 1982 documentary from Les Blank and Maureen Gosling chronicling Werner Herzog’s notorious Amazon shoot for “Fitzcarraldo,” distributed by Violet Pictures.
