‘FBI’ Spinoff With CIA Twist In Works At CBS
CBS has commissioned FBI: CIA, a planted spinoff from Wolf's hit CBS drama FBI, which is targeting a potential series order for the 2025-2026 season.
Three characters, including the FBI and CIA agent leads, will appear in the planted spinoff episode and would become a series regular should the project go forward. (Wolf Entertainment’s Law & Order franchise also is set in the Big Apple but its NBUniversal home would make cross-pollination difficult.) By combining the monikers of two government agencies, the FBI: CIA title may trigger some sendups in the vein of Adult Swim’s crime procedural parody NTSF:SD:SUV::.
