‘FBI’ & ‘Chicago Med’ Set Mike Weiss & Allen MacDonald As New Showrunners
Mike Weiss has joined CBS' 'FBI' as showrunner. Meanwhile, Allen MacDonald has been tapped as showrunner of NBC's 'Chicago Med'.
Weiss and MacDonald fill the showrunner vacancies left by the departures of veterans Rick Eid ( FBI) and Diane Frolov and Andy Schneider ( Chicago Med) who had been at the helm of the two series from the start. Most recently, Weiss co-created, executive produced and served as co-showrunner alongside Heidi Cole McAdams on the Hulu mystery series Death and Other Details. MacDonald most recently served as executive producer and co-showrunner of Harlan Coben’s Shelter for Prime Video.
