‘Euphoria’ Star Hunter Schafer Reportedly Eyed To Play ‘X-Men’ Character Mystique In The MCU

Is Hunter Schafer finally joining the MCU? A rumor suggests Marvel has their eyes on her to play the X-Men villain Mystique in their upcoming reboot.

Perhaps the most interesting is casting news, with it being recently reported that the studio is currently in search of actors to play both Gambit and Kitty Pryde in the long-awaited project. While Schafer is best known for her work on Euphoria, she also played Tigris Snow in The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes, an important detail given the film’s writer Michael Lesslie was reportedly a finalist to write the reboot early last year. The project also seems to be skewing on the younger side casting wise, with Hunter Schafer being 26 and reported Jean Grey frontrunner Sadie Sink being only 22.
