'Emilia Pèrez' Star Karla Sofía Gascon Was Basically Erased From Her Own Movie At The SAG Awards

Controversy appears to have sidelined one film's most prominent player.

Not only did the Spanish actor skip the award show, but she also seemed to have been largely cut from a segment highlighting the much-lauded musical crime comedy. In a supercut of the film’s highlights, its leading lady only appeared for a split second while supporting stars Selena Gomez and Zoe Saldaña took up most of the screen time.
