‘Drag Race’ Star Jiggly Caliente Dies at 44 After Leg Amputation for ‘Severe Infection’

Jiggly Caliente, who rose to fame on season four of "RuPaul’s Drag Race," has died at 44.

“A luminous presence in the worlds of entertainment and advocacy, Jiggly Caliente was celebrated for her infectious energy, fierce wit, and unwavering authenticity. News of her passing follows an earlier family update shared on April 24, in which they revealed that Caliente had suffered “a serious health setback” and had undergone the amputation of most of her right leg due to a “severe infection.” At the time, they noted that she would be unable to participate in the upcoming season of Drag Race Philippines or any public engagements as her recovery was expected to be extensive.
