‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ Sets Disney+ Release Date for November
Marvel's 'Deadpool & Wolverine' will be available to stream on Disney+ in November.
Directed by Shawn Levy (“Free Guy,” “Night at the Museum”), the film follows Reynolds’ Wade Wilson, aka Deadpool, whose peaceful existence comes crashing down when the Time Variance Authority interferes with his life. It’s the first Marvel Cinematic Universe entry to be headlined by comic book characters that were previously licensed to 20th Century Fox, which was acquired by the Walt Disney Company in 2019. The film is packed with cameos galore, with everyone from Chris Evans, who returns to the Marvel Cinematic Universe to play Johnny Storm, aka the Human Torch, from his first superhero role in Fox’s “Fantastic Four.” Joining him are Jennifer Garner’s Elektra, Wesley Snipes’ Blade, Dafne Keen’s X-23 and Channing Tatum’s Gambit, who never actually appeared in one of Fox’s “X-Men” movies but had long been rumored for a standalone.
