Ryan Reynold’s Deadpool and Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine finally cross over with the likes of of Captain America, Thor and Spider-Man in the new film — nearly ever Marvel fan’s dream. In his review of the film, Variety film critic Peter DeBruge wrote that “the raunchy reunion of two Marvel misfits tests Disney standards while giving superhero fans a closure on nearly a quarter-century of variable-quality Marvel fare produced across town,” continuing that “this singular mutant satire works best as an irreverent homage to what’s come before, as opposed to the prototype for future superhero movies.”
