‘Dead Language,’ Feature Adaptation of Oscar-Nominated Short ‘Aya,’ Launching Sales in Cannes With WestEnd (EXCLUSIVE)


WestEnd Films is launching the Tribeca-bound film, starring Sarah Adler, Ulrich Thomsen, Yehezkel Lazarocv and Lars Eidinger

“Dead Language” tells the story of a chance encounter that propels Aya, a young woman waiting for her husband at an airport, to pick up a complete stranger instead. Producers are Maya Fischer, Gal Greenspan, Roi Kurland and Roni Shamiss (“Cinema Sabaya,” “Golda”), Pavel Strnad (“Ice Mother”) Stanislaw Dziedzic (“Mr Jones”) and Moshe and Leon Edery (“Footnote,” “Tatami”). The directors co-wrote the script with their previous collaborators Tom Shoval (“Shake Your Cares Away” “Youth,” “Aya”) and Amital Stern (“The Etruscan Smile”).
