After debuting on Netflix, Dark Winds and A Discovery Of Witches have seen viewership skyrocket

A Discovery of Witches drew 48% of its audience from the 18-49 demo, making its performance all the more impressive, as the younger, streaming-forward age group is generally the most coveted. Several other other AMC series, including Interview with the Vampire and Mayfair Witches from Anne Rice’s Immortal Universe as well as some Walking Dead spinoffs, also made their way to Netflix in the same deal, though they did not pop up on Nielsen’s radar in this first week. Since the former Fox series landed on Netflix, it has been its latest runaway hit, following in the footsteps of shows like Young Sheldon and Suits.
