Apple TV+ viewers might get the chance to finally find out how Dark Matter ’s interdimensional travel works and which universe the main characters ended up in after the streamer renewed the sci-fi drama for a second season. Dark Matter, which comes from Sony Pictures Television, follows Jason Dessen, played by Joel Edgerton), a physicist, professor and family man who, one night while walking home on the streets of Chicago, is abducted into an alternate version of his life. “We are thrilled to continue our collaboration with Blake Crouch, our partners at Sony and the rest of the creative team and cast — led by the remarkable Joel Edgerton and Jennifer Connelly — on a new season that will captivate viewers with more twists and turns as we dive deeper into the mysteries of the multiverse.”
