While the role of Captain America would ultimately go to Chris Evans, it seems Wilson Bethel was very far into the audition process before being rejected, even going so far as to put on the iconic suit. In contrast, Wilson Bethel is only just getting started with his tenure in the franchise, making his proper debut as Bullseye in Daredevil: Born Again after a short tease in the series’ last installment. Chris Evans made a surprisingly scant number of appearances as Captain America, playing the role in only eight films, with nine projects featuring a small cameo.
